One Hundred and Thirty-Four!

Last of today’s images. Hopefully tomorrow morning will be just as productive. Some of you who have been following the blog may know that one I have open studios this weekend and I am trying to keep producing and two I fell behind on the blog and I am trying to catch up right now… Wonder if I can do it! Enjoy and see you tomorrow!

One Hundred and Thirty-One

Today I seemed a bit inspired and it was by a movie soundtrack… Yes it was all instrumental. The Hunger Games Soundtrack by James Newton Howard. OMG, I love it. I finally finished the books about a month ago, which one I began reading, were finished in about 2 weeks. I particularly like Rue’s Farewell and Tenuous Winners/Return Home. They both have a similar section and it is such a strong piece of music. Anyway, all I am saying is that I was inspired by a bit of music and it allowed me to create a few pieces today. The image is all watercolor. Enjoy and see you next time!

Day Forty-Three

Today was inspired by everything wonderful. It started with a beautiful day consisting of  bike rides, strawberries, sketching at the park and amazing music. I finally found the song I have been obsessed with for the past week, Of Monsters and Men- Little Talks and from there I found a few more M83- Midnight City and Imagine Dragons- It’s Time, to name a few. This image started at the park and was later completed back at the house on the back porch. See you tomorrow!

Day Thirty-nine

When I got home from the studio I didn’t really feel like taking a serious attempt at anything today so I just started painting in acrylics (which I am not very comfortable with) and this is what I came up with. It was very enjoyable after a long day and it really just developed, I never set out with an image in mind. I rearranged my working area, because although the kitchen table has been treating me well over the past few weeks I was dying to work in an area that felt like a studio and not a cluster fluff. SO the basement got completely rearranged and before you go “BASEMENT?” it’s not too bad. I mean the lighting is horrible but I work primarily at night anyway so no matter what it isn’t exactly great. What was nice was busting out some of the old mixes on my old school Ipod (which oddly enough is still alive). There were some good inspirational tunes on there here are just a few. Enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Don’t Go away Oasis

Guster- All the Way up to Heaven

Coldplay- Rush of blood to the head

Daydream believe Monkees

Great Big Sea-Everything Shines

Cannonball- Damian Rice

Day Twenty-four

Today was such a wonderful day. Well, almost amazing minus the whole alarm not going off AGAIN (my Iphone is malfunctioning). I was meeting a friend at the gym at the crack ass of dawn and somehow made it there on time regardless that my alarm never went off. After the gym I went to a coffee shop and just sat back and tried to relax for a while before work. I put on my headphones and started sketching. My “musical” inspirations today consisted of Billie Holiday,  Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Etta James and the Dropkick Murphy’s. Nice little mix before work. I hope that when I finally decide on a gym that I will have these kinds of opportunities more often to just sit back write, draw and listen to everything around me. Anyway, this was what I came up with today, tomorrow is my day off and I’ll be off on some kind of adventure I imagine! Can’t wait to see what is in store. See you tomorrow.
