I love the composition of this piece…. unlike most of the others this just grows out of the space where as the others seem to extend out in every direction off of the paper. Enjoy!

One Hundred and Thirty-Nine!
These images began the day of open studios but my rate of finishing pieces has decreased to like a snail’s pace… I’m sitting and pondering the next move quite a bit which is both good and bad. Anyway I began painting this pod shape which you will see in the next few images since I have become somewhat obsessed. The contrast in this image is to my liking I love the pops of color throughout the image.

I have no idea where I was going with this one it started out on an old attempt of an image and ended here. I do like where it is although I am unsure if I’m done with it but until I figure that one out here is number one hundred and thirty-eight! Enjoy!
One Hundred and Thirty-Seven!
Today was open studios, day one, and although it would be considered slow I did pretty well. Most of the people who stopped by were very pleasant to talk to and encouraging about the kind of work I am producing. I love when people who are completely new to my work fall in love with pieces, at least it proves that my work is interesting. It was fun talking about the works and trying to describe the crazy things I see in my head and translate that. It is true that my work is organic and nature inspired but that is typically the base of the image and then who knows… I run with it I guess. What I did realize today is I need to take some time to update my about this blog page since the basis of the blog has evolved with the blog, and people who are new to it may not realize. Below are a few images of my set up today, somewhat similar to last months open studio. Anyway enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Another day another image, as usual I started painting this morning and even though I did not work until 2:30 I was nearly late because I got involved in both this and two other images which are not yet completed. The image never got the depth I was looking for but I honestly got a bit tired of working on this image. It was one of the first ones I had drawn something in pencil first (well in a long time) and I guess I felt restricted. Anyway, Enjoy and see you next time!

One Hundred and Thirty-One
Today I seemed a bit inspired and it was by a movie soundtrack… Yes it was all instrumental. The Hunger Games Soundtrack by James Newton Howard. OMG, I love it. I finally finished the books about a month ago, which one I began reading, were finished in about 2 weeks. I particularly like Rue’s Farewell and Tenuous Winners/Return Home. They both have a similar section and it is such a strong piece of music. Anyway, all I am saying is that I was inspired by a bit of music and it allowed me to create a few pieces today.
