Three Hundred and Fifty-Three!

While in Indiana, I was just working when I was able to which should have absolutely been more often but unfortunately I came down with a bug for almost my entire trip. I did manage to draw/paint a few images literally pulling inspiration from anything around me! As you can see this contains a lot of fruit inspired by a fruit bowl non-the-less. Enjoy and see you next time!

Three Hundred and Fifty-Two!

Doodles from Indiana. Went to good old Indiana to visit one of my besties and her new little baby aka. Cricket. Was not exactly in my routine but I was required to produce something during my time there since the trip happened so close to the deadline! Needless to say the image is not exactly to my typical standards but what are you gonna do? It’s fun and whimsical and that is enough for me. Enjoy and see you next time!

Three Hundred and Fifty-One!

This started out as a doodle and progressed into a painting of sorts. These strange honeycomb like objects seemed to just connect to each other to form some abstract shape. I was not going for a beehive or anything even remotely close. I enjoy the heavy line work at the bottom which lightens towards the top. I would like to explore this imagery in a more planned out image as it seemed to get muddy here. Enjoy and see you next time!

Three Hundred and Fifty!

Another piece inspired by the window panes. This one went a little more abstract than I initially intended but I guess you learn with each piece. These are such simple images to make but they are relaxing and with each one I do they seem to show me different things. Enjoy and see you next time!

Three Hundred and Forty -Nine!

Quick sketch of Miss Noel sitting so politely at the table. It’s amazing how one dog can be so good and then the next dog would devour that piece of cake before you had a chance to move it out-of-the-way. Enjoy and see you next time.

Three Hundred and Forty-Eight!

The other day when I pulled into work I looked across the parking lot and there was this warehouse window that was so interesting to look at. I found myself sitting there just staring at it for quite sometime. The light that was shining through was only illuminating sparatic panes which appeared to be a variation of colors. When I tried to photograph it is looked like a black smudge. This image is based on an moment that now resides in my mind as a memory. I really enjoy this and know this is not the last of this type of image. Enjoy and see you next time.

Three Hundred and Forty-Seven!

OK, I finally painted a human that doesn’t make me want to tear my eyeballs out. Major success story here! As usual her head is way too large for her body but she is old and sometimes old people have really big facial features you know ears, noses and so on. For some reason I was interested in painting a woman with layers of coats but on route to that image I kind of stumbled on this elderly lady hunched over her cane and felt inspired. Enjoy and see you next time.

Three Hundred and Forty-Six!

Seriously could my imagery be more all over the place. I think I am starting to scramble for ideas, pulling from all different directions or ideas that float through my head on any given day. I mean I had been thinking of children’s stories and how there are always witches that try to eat children. Naturally I felt inclined to paint a witch face at that very moment. It’s another image I am uncomfortable with probably because it’s a human. I never feel confident with these silly human images! Enjoy and see you next time.

Three Hundred and Forty-Five!

It feels like a strange pod of jellyfish. I liked the image here but the color is WAY TO PURE. I really need to do a second attempt with this image and tone it down a bit. The creatures are definitely aquatic but take elements from the Veiled Lady Mushroom which is honestly one of my favorite things to draw. I think they are amazing plant structures. If you are not familiar with them you should probably look it up. Enjoy and see you next time.

Three Hundred and Forty-Four!

Experimental piece. It honestly had no real goal but as I moved through the image I started to focus on different elements. I always love when images emerge in an abstract and there are quite a few in this one. What do you see? Enjoy and see you next time.
