Day Eighty!

Woohoo, I love hitting the milestones, although I never really intended 80 to be one of them. I do appologize for posting these at totally random times and stuff but my schedule is mad and I have been doing what I can do. This was a stress reliever, I was super overwhelmed and when I feel that way I always draw webs because I love them. Anyway enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Day Seventy-Nine!

Another simple doodle as most people would probably call it. I’m loving this combination though. I think it is probably the contrast I am so excited and attracted too not to mention I always have loved a bright pop of color. Right now the pink happens to be that color, obviously. So just a quick reminder Open Studios in Hull are happening soon. It is the weekend of July 7th and 8th. I will only be participating on the 8th since one of my besties is getting married on the 6th and it is going to be an amazing time! Which ultimately means Saturday = Recoup time. Anyway enjoy and I will see you tomorrow!

Day Seventy-Eight!

Another experiment with everyday materials that you find in your desk. I forgot to post before I left the house so now that I am back here it is. Hope everyone had a nice fathers day, we got to enjoy a wonderful family dinner from The Corrib in West Roxbury with the family. It’s one of my favorite comfort kind of restaurants. So back to this image I was really enjoying yesterdays image so I tried it again… It’s kind of fun to see the contrast of the line quality of a pen verse a sharpie verse a highlighter. Anyway onto the next image. Enjoy, see you tomorrow!

Day Seventy-Seven!

Today was all about sketching with everyday materials. A pen, a highlighter and a sharpie. Oddly enough I kind of loved it! Enjoy and I will see you tomorrow!

Day Seventy-Six!

Today was a bit of an experiment with layering. I went to the Cohasset Art Fair today which opened at 2pm and went through the tent to look at all the artwork. This was the show I had tried to get into. I actually think that my pricing may have been too high for a lot of the show, seems like if you don’t have a name for yourself you works should not cost over $600 and all of mine did. Oh well you live and learn. I did see one really interesting mixed media piece which inspired me to cut up the paper (which has absolutely no significance to me, it was a Citibank credit card brochure). Also, while I was there I ran into an old friend, Mr. Rodger Tirrell, who most of my friends know as our art teacher from High School. It is always such a pleasure to chat with him. Anyway, as I said before this was just an experiment and far from a completed piece. Anyway, Enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Day Seventy-Four!

Well even though today was Wednesday and typically Wednesday means my day off for rest and relaxation, I was completely busy all day long. This also means that although I plan for Wednesdays to be a good drawing day today kind of failed. I managed to sketch a tiny bit today in a small it of down time. I actually have nothing against the drawing itself other than it is quite simple and very incomplete, but I guess some days are just like that. Hoping tomorrow brings a bit more rest, working in the evening but theoretically that’s my only true obligation. HA! Anyway, Enjoy and I will see you tomorrow!

Day Seventy-Three!

An early morning drawing. Not too shabby considering it’s only 9:00am and it is done for the day. This is probably a blessing since I have to work 10 to 9 tonight…. kinda grossly long day. Tomorrow should be good though I have almost the entire day off to do what I want, which of course is completely planned out already! I liked the combination of shapes in this and would love to explore it a bit more. I would like to see the contrast bumped up a bit it seems a bit monotone to me, but then again I do love drama even if some of these graphite images are not really displaying that well! Enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Day Seventy-Two!

I’ve been staring at this rock that a good friend gave to me from California and I’m kind of obsessed with it. It’s not overly interesting but it has a great pattern on it similar to the stick like bits in the image. They are so interesting, I have yet to capture them but I’m working on it. Maybe the next image! Anyway, I got to do this drawing on the back porch tonight which was really enjoyable. I haven’t had an opportunity to draw outside in a few weeks. Enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Day Seventy-One!

A drawing inspired by some pictures I took today at a park in Squantum. The day was absolutely beautiful so me and the hubby went walking around and enjoying the weather. I really enjoyed working this image I’d like to continue on thss though, it seems to be only half completed to me. Anyway, have a great night and I’ll see you tomorrow!
