Day One Hundred and Four!

These next few images seem a bit underdeveloped but I feel as if I need to stop focusing so much because I am becoming way to overwhelmed. I haven’t been as committed to the images probably because I was so caught up in the hunger games but luckily I’ve finished the books. It is sad kinda, the series was so good. Any book suggestions? Anyway, what that also means is that I’ll have some free time at night to paint again! I always like the contrast of watercolor washes against a pen line. Enjoy and see you tomorrow!

Day One Hundred and Three!

This piece I feel is somewhat successful. As you can see I am apparently back onto a watercolor kick. Problem with that is I tend to work over the course of a few days on multiple pieces. Thats why these posts are happening at the same time. although I started them 2 days ago they were finished today. The color is somewhat rich in sections although I do feel the contrast could have been pushed in a few sections. It is all a learning process right! Enjoy and see you tomorrow!

Day One Hundred and Two!

Another Day another drawing, it’s funny how some days just work and to make an image is exciting even if the finished result is only partially what you learned from the experience and other days it is like banging your head against a wall. Luckily today was much more like option one. I was able to let go which may be in part from my total brain numbness from earlier activities. Nothing bad just brain numbingly boring really. I actually think that my ear may be swollen due to the amount of time I spent on the tele today. REALLY. Anyway onto the next one enjoy and goodnight!

Day One Hundred and one!

Brilliant night, relaxing drawing, perfect day all around really. Oddly enough no real drama happened today except for going through some really old photographs of friends and family that I have realized could possibly be used to my advantage! Just Kidding everyone! Anyway it’s off to bed, enjoy and goodnight!

Day Ninety-Four!

These are a bunch of images I am touching up to part of a bigger project I am working on. These when finished will be a few of the pages of my book. I loved being able to take the sketches I drew in my journal and transfer them into something more “important” or official. Day Eighty-Eight!

Well that’s a fun number, although it is ridiculously even for me. Normally I am not an even kind of person. It’s like symmetry, it drives me insane. They say that people are drawn to very symmetrical people but I think that would bother me. I mean for example I am happy to say that my face is NOT symmetrical, the main difference that I can see is in my eyes, although it is slight it seems like one is a bit more open and the freckles don’t match… I mean the freckles in my eye not on my face. Anyway, as you can see my images are typically far from symmetrical. There is one thing I would like to conquer or at the very least attempt, to put these in a space or on a surface. They currently appear like objects or icons, strange but iconic. Actually on another note they would be amazing built-in 3D (NEXT PROJECT).  Anyway, enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Day Eighty-Seven!

Another late night Thursday posting. I wish I could get into the habit of working on pieces in the morning and posting at a reasonable hour but it just doesn’t seem to be my style. Anyway, back at the acrylics, loving the end results. I’ve had a few comments about the color and the richness which has been kind of nice to hear. On another note, OPEN STUDIOS is creeping up on me. I always love doing open studios, not even because it gives me the opportunity to sell some of my work but really it gives me a deadline and me and deadlines work REALLY well together.
