Two Hundred Fifty-Nine!

This is a cropped portion of an image I recently made.

I apologize for not showing the whole image, but unfortunately I’m not ready to. Call me crazy but I am still working on figuring out the rights to my images and throwing copyrights on them. I never really had to worry about it but now I feel more open to these kinds of problems. Regardless I love sharing with everyone and hearing the feedback or seeing that people respond well to the image.

I feel like this gang of animals are going on a trip in their green umbrella to some new adventure and all the time the sly fox is appearing to have questionable motives. So much for a cute and fuzzy story! Enjoy and see you next time.

Two Hundred Fifty-Eight!

Another free thinking image. No pressure involved in the making. I am fully aware that they are not award winner pieces but they keep the creative thoughts moving and that is half of the battle. If nothing else I am constantly learning, whether it be a technique or color relationships. Enjoy.

Two Hundred Fifty-Seven!

Abstract color wash exercise. I needed to clear my head and start mass producing. Do not be surprised if you suddenly see an increase in images being posted. I am on a mission to finish this challenge by the two-year mark! What I find most entertaining about this type of image making is that it always starts completely unorganized and as it develops I try to pull the image from what I’ve already laid down. It is such a different type of working method from all of the recent animal images which have to be planned even prior to laying the first mark on the paper. Enjoy.

Two Hundred Fifty-Six!

The project of the day was portraits of a few of my favorite woodland creatures. this included a Chipmunk, Raccoon, Beaver and Deer. I think its interesting how some took on so much character while others are merely an image of a furry creature. Practive makes perfect right?

Two Hundred Fifty-Five!

Meet Buddy, the most perfect Chocolate lab in the whole wide world. He isn’t my dog but everytime I get to see him he brightens up my day. As I mentioned with the image of Tayto, I need to build my library of images of dogs. I love working on images of animals but I will say I still struggle with perspective and depth within the image. Two Hundred Fifty-Three!

Its Tayto! Recently I was approached by a few people who were looking to have images of their dogs made into art pieces. Now granted it’s just a portrait but I need to start building a library of images to show these potential customers. On that note, I decided to draw Tayto yawning. Two Hundred Fifty-Two!

This would be considered one of those work doodles I start while reviewing voicemails. Granted they evolve from there, but it seems to be a great starting point. Recently I have been obsessed with doodles because I was listening to some news channel which did a segment on “doodling” and how in a recent stufy people who doodle actual remember more details regarding whatever was going on. It always worked for me so I am a firm believer! Enjoy.

Two Hundred Fifty-One!

OK, I think this will be the last post of the evening, I apologize for overloading you all at once but posting for me is not exactly a regular occurrence so I have to take advantage of these moments! Figured I would end it with one of my favorite images too. These two little guys are based off an photo I saw. In saying that its completely my own at this point. IDK why but I love the interaction between them. I almost wish they were a bit closer but that’s a change for the next time I do something like this. Enjoy!
