Two Hundred Twenty-Six

Yesterday was a rather frustrating day. I was preparing for a hike up Mt Katahdin in Maine and after quite a bit of arranging, I started to come down with some sort of bug Thursday morning, which by no means settled yesterday. Needless to say I had to cancel the trip because hiking for 11 hours, then driving home for 6, just didn’t seem like a smart decision in my current condition. Not to mention my husband was in way worse shape then I was with this bug and was absolutely not going to be able to hike. I came home yesterday in the pouring rain, which I love and situated the apartment so I could sit and stare out the window. I started sketching based off of different items in my line of vision and well this was the outcome. Not too much but it is fun to draw so carelessly. Enjoy and see you next time.

Well these images are quite small, normally they are a bigger quality, but I have the original so I thought maybe that would be OK. Just experimenting with shapes falling into a form or protruding out of a form. Enjoy!

This is a basic under painting for  two hundred and fourteen, obviously I don’t think this looks very good but once I enhance it there is potential! Anyway, just thought I give you a glimpse at my work in progress.photo 2

These two images above are from previous days but I went back and worked the pages a bit more. Primarily on the upper right corner and top of the age. I needed it to be more complete.  Enjoy and see you next time.

Two Hundred Thirteen!

Another day another page, I love thinking of this project like that. I never really know what I am going to do but I start layering elements and tossing color onto the page and whalla, I’ve got something to work with. The burst images were actually a pre-sketch for a print I did at one point while studying at Umass Boston. Enjoy and I’ll see you next time.

This was a continuation from the other day. I was attempting to finish/resolve the page but I still don’t know if I am done with it. I was SO busy at one point so I attempted to dull it down quite a bit in areas while making some brighter moments of focus. I do love the close up though, the colors and random  positioning seems new and fresh. Enjoy see you next time.

This is not complete but it is what I did yesterday so I figured I would show where it currently stands, I definitely need to work on blending the written elements with the painted, drawn and collage bits! That will just have to be tonight’s project! My house is beginning to look like a hoarder lives here with drawings, journals, sketch books and art materials!

part number two, this image is a continuation from Two Hundred and Seven. Interesting to see how they develop image to image. Loving the contrast of the painted imagery and collage imagery. Also, the incorporation of words, or entries is really exciting and somewhat embarrassing!

These next few posts are all interrelated but I’ll explain show that eventually. Regardless this is a new project I started and seem to be thoroughly enjoying the making of. It is a bit of mix and matching elements and mediums and responding to what was laid down on the paper first. Enjoy!
