Three Hundred and Sixty-Five!

OMG, I finished and with 2 hours to spare! I finished the revised challenge that is, 365 images in 3 years time! We’ll it is the last post of the challenge and as I was scrambling to finish up the images I did have the opportunity to finish a couple pieces I felt really strongly about, this one included. It completed my panel piece which I will post in full at a later time. I love the critters in contrast with the designs on the eggs. I realize the two aspects don’t blend well but I love the juxtaposition. These little critters were initially born from¬† this challenge so it seemed fitting to end with a group of them. Also, as Easter is only a few days away why not celebrate! I’ll be doing a recap post this week so I won’t babble on here but always Enjoy and see you next time!

Three Hundred and Thirty-One!

Drew these little two while in bed, just a little sketch but it was relaxing to do. The guy offering the present looks ridiculous like a stuffed animal of something. I love the other guy though, his face really works for me. Enjoy and see you next time.

Three Hundred!

OMG, 300 down only 65 more to go before April 2nd, about 45 days. I haven’t been able to get ahead of the 1.5 drawings a day but at least I am currently on track. I find week nights most difficult as the choice between a yummy meal, a good work out, the chance to draw, sleep or just relax becomes pretty tough. Regardless, it is images like this that remind me I need to paint. Above is the full image, its long and skinny like prior post but its my exploration of these furry critters that I enjoy. I tried to give them a story, whether that be the journey through the dark with only a lantern for light or the welcoming sight of a friend at their front door. Below are close-ups of each critter. Let me know your thoughts, I do not get feedback like my days in school so anything would be wonderfully helpful. Enjoy and see you next time!

Two Hundred and Ninety-Eight!

Love my little critters. I need to practice with these characters more often though. This was never intended to be an image with a mouse but instead a study of shape. When the mouse developed I ran with it but there were a number of images that came off the same sheet of paper that did focus on shape development and my use of watercolor. Those will be posted once they are complete. Enjoy and see you next time!

Two Hundred and Ninety-Seven!

This was another drawing while cooking experience. Honestly, it was meant to be a mouse but it absolutely looks like a rat. Another little sketch, mixed together like a collage. Enjoy and see you next time!

Two Hundred and Ninety-Two!

Switching gears, focusing on some character drawings instead. I know it seems somewhat strange that I jump from totally random or abstract imagery to this but I love the result of these studies.I want to integrate the two but until then I will work on them separately. This little fellow was too cute to not draw and in regards to the wheels… I have no idea. Maybe next time he will be driving the cart these wheels belong to! That would be a pretty great image. Enjoy and see you next time.

Two Hundred Sixty-Six!

The above is another in the series I worked on while attempting to find the right piece to use on my friends baby shower invitation. I suppose I have to admit that this little mouse was the result of watching the movie “The Witches” based off the Roald Dahl book, which happens to be one of my favorites. Enjoy!
