This image looks as if Lady Boo Boo (my dog) did Shrooms. Just for all the animal lovers out there I did not give my dog drugs, I just painted her in a landscape that is somewhat hallucinogenic. I started this image a while ago and have been slowly developing it. It still feels unfinished but unfortunately for me I have a deadline and you do what you can. I can always rework it later. It’s like a Petri dish. I have been sick for the past few days and as an attempt to ease the sinus pressure I utilized this chamomile mixture that you put into a bowl with boiling water then cover you head with a towel and breathe in. I was sitting there breathing and realized that the flowers, petals and grass that made up the mixture was actually quite interesting. That is what inspired this piece but this is not a replica of what I saw by any means! Enjoy and see you next time!
Sometimes you start an image with one character and suddenly the image calls for another. That’s exactly what happened in this image. The hand gestures of the male Raccoon indicated he was telling a story. Naturally he needed a date and once I started painting her I was forced to address the background. The painting was totally responsive which is why the formatting is somewhat off. Typically my layout is better. Enjoy and see you next time!
I’ve been looking at windows recently, particularly those of old warehouses near my work. They always seem interesting at night/early morning because they are illuminated but not evenly. They are aged and show wear. Even the color that emits though the panes of glass changes from panel to panel. The whole image has nice a quiet vibe to it. It’s not nearly as dark as it should be but that is somewhat hard for me still. I’ll get there eventually. Enjoy and see you next time!
Now this is an image that has been slowly in progress for a while. I struggled towards the end and really feel that the upper left is incomplete but at this point I’m going to call it and if in the future I decide I want to tackle the image again I will. Enjoy and see you next time!
Tackled this again, I wanted to integrate it into an image with multiple panels. I know it is very similar to the others but none are the same. Some of the color combos within this image are really inspiring. I am looking forward to utilizing them in future works. When I work with watercolors I always find it hard to make certain colors but these type of images are opening up more and more colors every time. Enjoy and see you next time!
Easter is right around the corner and with it comes Easter Eggs! The simplicity of this image is nice. The light washes on the egg really work well with the contrast of high impact color in the back ground. The background of this image is one of my favorites. It’s refreshing painting in this fashion and without boundaries or rules. Enjoy and see you next time!

A quick sketch I did while at the airport in Indiana. Like I stated before not up to par but it was kind of hard to get into the right mode when traveling. I found line work was the easiest thing to focus on due to its repetitive nature. Repetition can be calming which as we know is always useful when traveling! I must admit the trip to and from was easy peasy and Indianapolis Airport is a breeze compared to Logan! The airplane was the smallest I had flown on and luckily rather empty. I never had to sit uncomfortably next to the heavy breather or the person who smelled a little too strongly of garlic, YAY! Enjoy and see you next time.
This is a sketch was drawn for a painting I painted when I got home from Indiana. The image does not look the same at all but you obviously see the concept, Easter Bunny and Easter Eggs. I kind of liked doing this image because there was not a weight on my shoulders like the paintings carry. Initially drawn in pencil then finished with pen, there was room for error.
